Torrey Pines
California

Gene Serrano launching his "Schuler" 1:3 scale ASH 26

"Torrey Pines" is located 20 minutes north of "San Diego", next to "La Jolla" California.
This site, above the Pacific Ocean with it's 500 foot vertical cliff and strong westerly
winds makes for some spectacular views and fantastic slope flying! The site also has
a Hang Glider and Parasail facility for those who love to jump off high places. For
scale flying or any Model flying you must have a current AMA card and pay $5 for use
of the facility. This is a popular site and as so, can get a little crowded and it's
recommended you fly with a friend as a spotter for safety reasons.
Just 5 minutes south is "La Jolla", one of California's best shopping and Dinning area's.
